Master Lego builders from all over the country meet this weekend at Fremont, California for the first ever Northern California Lego Convention. The "Bricks by the Bay" convention, themed "The Brick Artistic" will run from Friday, April 9th thru Sunday, April 11th. at the Fremont Marriott Silicon Valley Hotel. The conventioneers have created masterpiece Lego creations that boggle the mind. Famous buildings and everything from a main street America scene to complete cities. One attraction sure to get a lot of attention is the built to scale Empire State Building. The convention is open to the public on Sunday only for a modest fee of $5.00 per person. Children under 2 are admitted free.
If you live anywhere near the Bay Area it would be a great time to make this a Sunday family outing. Even better would be to plan on a Saturday afternoon and overnight stay in San Francisco. Take a ride on the historic cable cars and have great seafood dinner at the piers! Just as a reminder, you can find everything you'll need to build your own masterpiece at ToyBuildingBricks.com. What a wonderful way to spend quality family time!
